about the sound meditation training
This is a comprehensive training focused on sound baths and deep listening meditations. I have created the course I wish I could have been offered when I was starting my sound journey. It is highly specialized and only available in person in small groups, with a maximum of ten students. This is because each sound practitioner's journey is unique and I want to be able to give each student time and attention to bloom their sound offering. My approach is to balance fact based theory with reverence for the mysticism of sound. I create a generous amount of time for hands on practice and play together. Some of the subjects covered are the theory, science, anatomy and history of sound, mysticism, meditation and deep listening, music theory, how to choose instruments, the art of crafting a sound bath, and the business of sound baths. The intention is that at the completion of this training each student will be empowered with the knowledge and skill to begin creating their own sound bath offerings which can take many different forms. There are a vast amount of ways sound can be utilized as a tool for healing and creativity. Past students include therapists, body workers, care givers, energy healers, yoga teachers, somatic sex educators, musicians, djs, filmmakers, artists, deep listeners and curious seekers who are feeling a call towards a new direction. This course is open to all levels and can be approached as a beginner or as a way to broaden and fine tune your practice to those with previous experience in sound meditation.
What is included:
33 hours of sound training
Access to all instruments at Kikospace to learn with (no need to buy anything to begin)
A comprehensive Training Manual
Certificate of Completion ~ Sound Facilitator (upon completing assignments)
Each student is also offered a complimentary one on one hour session with Kiko that can be booked at anytime before or after the training.

Days 1-3
Fundamentals in Sound
Sept 26, 27, 28 2025 from 10am-6pm
An introduction to the science of sound, anatomy, and the history and traditions of sound healing. Together we will discuss and explore ways of meditating with sound to access deeper states of awareness. Time will be given to deep listening exercises and sounding with our voices. We will explore different techniques and traditions that utilize sound. We will also begin to play with instrumentation through the sound healing tools available at Kikospace (Crystal Bowls, Gongs, Chimes, Bells, Rattles, Shruti Box) and a more in depth study of tuning forks and their benefits as an entry level instrument for therapeutic sound. We will begin to explore the sequencing and creative process of developing sound meditations.
Homework will be given in conjunction with our first weekend of training. There is a pause of a few weeks in between our two weekends of training so that each student has time to integrate and complete the homework given before we enter weekend two.
days 4-5
Creating sound offerings
October 18+19 2025
10am-6pm Saturday and 1:30pm-7pm Sunday
Building upon the theory and practices developed through the fundamentals, our second weekend will focus on the craft of creating sound baths and how to bring this forward as a business. Participants will have dedicated time to play with graphic scores, develop unique sound journeys and sound meditations to share. Time will be given to exploring the different applications of sound meditations and details on the practical magic of bringing a sound meditation forward, from creating an offering, establishing a space, determining number participants, instruments, travel, set up, energetic hygiene practices and the responsibilities entrusted to you as a facilitator.
Sound Bath facilitation homework will be given at the end of the training to be completed in each student’s own time. On completion of the homework given and all course assignments received, you will receive a Sound Bath Facilitator Certificate from Kikospace.
I began my sound journey in 2016 through my yoga studies in India. While staying in India I attended the Svaram Sound Therapy program and received certification through their immersive training. I then continued my study through courses with John Beaulieu (Biosonics Tuning Forks), Sylvia Nakkach (Vocalizing with Crystal Bowls), and Sara Auster (Completed advanced certification in the ASM method in 2021). I have also participated in immersive workshops, trainings and retreats with master healers and musicians Laraaji, Arji OceanAnanda, Carioca Frietas and Rainer Scheurenbrand. Most recently, in the summer of 2025 I co-led a sound meditation retreat at Hollyhock on Cortes Island and traveled to Italy to train and immerse in the art of Gongs with Grotta Sonora, Mike Tambura and Mitch Nur, followed by attending a three week artist residency at Camp France (Pyrenees Mountains) with Laraaji to explore meditation, collaboration and spontaneous exploration of sensation.
I am certified to facilitate and teach EIV (emotionally integrated voice method) after completing an extensive training program with renowned Opera Singer and Performance Artist, Fides Krucker. In addition to this I am certified in Contemplative Psychotherapy from the Nalanda Institute in New York and have over 500 hours in Yoga Teacher Training, focusing on Restorative and Yoga Nidra. I have been a mentorship and meditation student of Ally Bogard (Author The Quiet Teachers) since 2020 who's teachings focus on practice, career advancement and spiritual leadership, often through the methods of Byron Katie's self inquiry. In addition to this I study chanting, Pranayam, Chakra Kriya and Meditation with Sanskrit scholar and teacher Hali Schwartz and I am currently completing my certification with the Pauline Oliveros Institute of Deep Listening. As a life long student I am always continuing my own studies into sound so I can bring this into my practice and teaching.
I have been operating a sound space in Toronto since 2017 and have been actively facilitating sound baths for individuals and small groups here for several years. I also have experience with corporate and large group sound baths ranging from offerings with the AGO (Art Gallery of Ontario), Saskatoon Symphony, Adobe Creative, CAMH, OCAD, York and Queens University, Google, Shopify and many more diverse clients that arc from boardroom settings to hospitals to art and education spaces. For a full list of my credentials and clients please reach out to me.
There are many sound trainings that exist. In my research as a student there were few people that felt in full integrity, who created sound bath experiences I resonated with and who I felt inspired to learn from. I am wary of the pseudoscience and misinformation that runs rampant in the sound community which is often paired with irresponsible ways of offering "sound healing". I offer this training to be in service to what I have learned that I want to share. I travel extensively and constantly engage in my own advanced training and my intention is to help co-create a responsible and sensitive sound facilitator community. I highly encourage you to visit my studio, attend a sound bath and ask questions to see if my style, approach and ethos aligns with you. If you feel a calling, please join this special training. It is my deep honour and pleasure to share what I have learned and carry forward the wisdom of my teachers.

Sound training with Kiko has to be one of the best experiences I've ever had. These two weekends have deepened my love and passion for sound even more and has heightened my meditation practice. There was so much thought and care in the training, Kiko holds space and ensures that each person is cared for. There is plenty of play time, I appreciate the respect for the origins of where things come from or are sourced, and the training as a whole provides really solid fundamentals. Whether you're starting in sound or looking to refine your practice, this is a really special training that will inspire your sound journey.

Kiko’s sound training was a truly transformative and inspiring experience. From the very first session, I was deeply moved by the care, sensitivity, and passion with which Kiko approaches sound. Her intuitive and devoted guidance created a space that felt both safe and expansive — perfectly designed for deep listening, exploration, learning and growth. Kiko’s ability to weave together knowledge, intuition, and hands-on experience is very special. The way she structured the training weekends — balancing learning, practice, and personal reflection — was very thoughtful and perfectly met my needs. We were given the space to explore a wide range of instruments and soundscapes, and Kiko’s openness encouraged each of us to find our own voice within the world of sound. Kiko is not only a gifted sound practitioner and teacher but a deeply inspiring human being. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to learn from her and for everything this training awakened in me.

I had a wonderful experience with Kiko sound training. The sessions were well-structured, and I learned so much. There was plenty of hands-on time to explore and play the instruments, which really helped deepen my understanding. Kiko has a beautiful way of catering the learning to each student’s unique style and pace, making the experience feel personal and supportive. Highly recommend to anyone curious about sound!

My experience was incredible. It gave me five beautiful days which felt like I had stepped out of this world and entered into another. A world in which I was able to appreciate the sense of sound and nurture my budding skillset. It offered ample time and space for both, while at the same time created a kindred community of sound practitioners that were given the gift of a space that allowed us to be vulnerable, courageous and creative with one another. Kiko is definitely a very special soul.

Beyond grateful to have found Kiko and her space. I have been receiving sound baths for a long time but after attending a group session led by Kiko, it was the first time I was inspired /felt comfortable to examine this practice deeper. There be magic within these walls I tells ya!

Kiko’s knowledge of sound facilitation, meditation, and philosophy is profound, and they honour the traditions that inspire this work with deep reverence. Their presence is marked by kindness, thoughtfulness, and grace, making them both an inspiring teacher and a guide. This course opened my mind to the practices that build a safe and welcoming environment for sound meditation. It unfolded in such an intuitive way. We touched on a variety of styles and resources to build our own practices upon. Highly recommend for anyone looking to expand their meditation offerings or personal practice.
