This is a comprehensive training focused on sound baths and deep listening meditations. I have created the course I wish I could have been offered when I was starting my sound journey.
It is highly specialized and only available in person in small groups, with a maximum of ten students. This is because each sound practitioner's journey is unique and I want to be able to give each student time and attention to bloom their sound offering.
My approach is to balance fact based theory with reverence for the mysticism of sound. I create a generous amount of time for hands on practice and play together. Some of the subjects covered are the theory, science, anatomy and history of sound, mysticism, meditation and deep listening, music theory, how to choose instruments, the art of crafting a sound bath, and the business of sound baths.
The intention is that at the completion of this training each student will be empowered with the knowledge and skill to begin creating their own sound bath offerings which can take many different forms. There are a vast amount of ways sound can be utilized as a tool for healing and creativity. Past students include therapists, body workers, care givers, energy healers, yoga teachers, somatic sex educators, musicians, djs, filmmakers, artists, musicologists, deep listeners and curious seekers who are feeling a call towards a new direction. This course is open to all levels and can be approached as a beginner or as a way to broaden and fine tune your practice to those with previous experience in sound meditation.
In this training, we will focus on:
sound therapy practices for self, 1-1 and group sessionshow to choose and work with instruments
hands on training with the full range of instruments at kikospace
toning and vocalization
facilitation, space holding and the business of sound baths
the art of creating unique sound meditations

Fundamentals in Sound
Oct 17-20 2026 from 10am-6pm
An introduction to the science of sound, anatomy, and the history and traditions of sound healing. Together we will discuss and explore ways of meditating with sound to access deeper states of awareness. We will learn deep listening exercises and vocal practices. We will study both the history, mysticism and lineage of sound along with the science of brain wave states and nervous system practices. We will begin to play with instrumentation through the sound healing tools available at Kikospace (crystal bowls, gongs, chimes, kalimbas, sansulas, metalaphones, rainsticks, ocean drums, shruti box) along with an in depth study of tuning forks and their benefits as an entry level instrument for therapeutic sound. We will learn the sequencing and creative process of developing sound meditations. There will be generous time given to exploring sound together with instruments (all available in the studio shop - no need to purchase) through 1-1 and group work to invite each practitioner to develop their skills with facilitating and developing their own sound baths. Our time is mapped to mirror the focus, pacing and nourishing qualities of this practice. The intention is to give a holistic balance of theory and learning with discussion, q+a, hands on play and practice time, self development and community building.

Creation, Facilitation and the Business of Sound Baths
Nov 21-24 2026 from 10am-6pm
Building upon the theory and practices developed through the first weekend of fundamentals, our second weekend will go deeper into the craft of creating sound baths with specialized modules in music theory, gongs, crystal bowls and voice. We will learn how to how to prepare and set up sound baths for 1-1 and group sessions, including energy and boundary practices for the practioner and and client(s) . We will learn how to approach sound baths as a business including the range of options from private to corporate. Participants will have dedicated time to play with graphic scores and collaborations, exploring creativity together by developing unique sound journeys and sound meditations to share in small groups. Time will be given to exploring the different applications of sound meditations and details on the practical magic of bringing a sound meditation forward, from creating an offering, establishing a space, determining number participants, instruments, travel, set up, energetic hygiene practices and the responsibilities entrusted to you as a facilitator.
At the completion of weekend 2, each participant will present a short sound bath to the group that will be workshopped and fine tuned. The intention is for each student to complete this training with a sound meditation that can be offered to others. At the end of this course each person should be ready to begin their journey into facilitating their own sound baths.
Sound Bath facilitation homework will be given throughout the duration of the program and after the in-person weekends. The completion of certification requirements can be done in each student’s own time. On completion of the homework given and all course assignments received, you will receive a Sound Bath Facilitator Certificate from Kikospace.
Each student also receives a complimentary hour long one-on-one session with Kiko that can be accessed at anytime they feel ready.
About Kiko
I have been operating a sound space in Toronto since 2017 and have been actively facilitating sound baths for individuals and small groups here for several years.
I also have experience with corporate and large group sound baths ranging from offerings with the AGO (Art Gallery of Ontario), Saskatoon Symphony, Adobe Creative, CAMH, OCAD, York and Queens University, Google, Shopify and many more diverse clients that arc from boardroom settings to hospitals to art and education spaces. For a full list of my credentials and clients please reach out to me.
There are many sound trainings that exist. In my research as a student there were few people that felt in full integrity, who created sound bath experiences I resonated with and who I felt inspired to learn from. I am wary of the pseudoscience and misinformation that runs rampant in the sound community which is often paired with irresponsible ways of offering "sound healing".
I offer this training to be in service to what I have learned that I want to share. I travel extensively and constantly engage in my own advanced training and my intention is to help co-create a responsible and sensitive sound facilitator community. I highly encourage you to visit my studio, attend a sound bath and ask questions to see if my style, approach and ethos aligns with you. If you feel a calling, please join this special training. It is my deep honour and pleasure to share what I have learned and carry forward the wisdom of my teachers.
